   Gaz can't do anything wrong, his songs are real and he's an amazing song writer! One of the first songs I ever heard and love it! Keep doing what you're doing Gaz we love it!    Gaz Brookfield is a solo acoustic musician based in Bristol. Since winning Acoustic magazine's Singer Songwriter of the year, he has spent his time on the road, touring the UK and Europe. In this time he has shared the stage with the likes of The Levellers, Frank Turner, New Model Army, Nick Harper, Newton Faulkner, Miles Hunt, Seth.

   Although Gaz Brookfield is a self-proclaimed solo acoustic guy, much of his more recent recorded material features a full band so it was great to get a little taster of full band Gaz Brookfield. He and his Company Of Thieves are embarking on a full band tour early next year which I’m very much looking forward to – but this gig left me fairly content until then.

   Gareth "Gaz" Brookfield (born Gareth Brookfield, 4 July ) is a musician based in Bristol. He is usually a solo artist, playing acoustic guitar, but is regularly joined by fiddle player Ben Wain and also has a full band, the Company of Thieves. He is also followed on his expansive tours by a loyal following calling themselves "The Land Pirates".

   Sold Short starts with just guitar chords which almost sound like Gaz Brookfield’s Land Pirate’s Life, bass and drums and a big cast of backing vocal pirates Brian showcases here that there’s more to his craft than a solo acoustic guy, there’s band arrangements in here, and it works brilliantly.
